Council bosses have issued an emergency appeal to anyone with a 4 x 4 vehicle who can help Meals on Wheels get hot food to elderly and needy people across the borough in the snow.Dacorum spokesman Sarah Jones said: "Many of our usual volunteers are unable to turn out and we are appealing for anyone with suitable vehicles to help out.
It is a vital service and we are determined to get the meals to everyone who usually gets them although they may arrive late."People who can help should contact Meals on Wheels on 01442 228503 urgently. .
